Kirkby Gallery are pleased to present work from the archives of one of the UK’s leading (and rare) photographic galleries: the Open Eye Gallery. Taken from their permanent archive, containing photographs from the 1930s to the present day, this exhibition has been curated by John Davies, one Britain’s most outstanding photographers. It will feature work from some of the most important photographers of the past century, including Bert Hardy, Edith Tudor-Hart, Martin Parr, Chris Steele-Perkins, John Stoddart and Tom Wood, plus discoveries previously unseen. It is timed to coincide with LOOK/15: Exchange adding to the themes of women, migration and memory
